Ian Gordon entered the financial services industry as a broker in 1983. It didn’t take long for the history graduate to become fascinated by the apparent cyclical nature of events that occurred in both the economic and financial sectors. In particular, Ian focused on the Kondratieff cycle which demonstrated that economic events repeated in a surprisingly regular sequence every 60 years or so.
In 1998, he began writing the Long Wave Analyst newsletter.  Through his understanding of the Long Wave, Ian has been able to accurately predict numerous significant events. He predicted the end of the equity bull market in 2000 and concurrently the beginnings of a major bull market in gold; as well as the recent burst in the real estate bubble and the subsequent banking crisis. As a result, more and more organizations wanted to hear what Ian had to say about where the market was going.
Today, Ian has retired from the brokerage business. He believes that better understanding of these principles can have a very valuable impact, and has decided to focus on educating companies, fund managers, and high net worth individuals on the Long Wave, and the investment opportunities that this knowledge indentifies.
